Feed the Brain

Your brain is always working, meaning that like our bodies, it needs good nutrition. It's becoming more and more known that nutrition via food and/or supplementation containing natural brain chemicals, can considerably enhance mental agility, increasing responses, memory, concentration, decreasing stress, basically keeping your brain young. Eating well will keep you strong, mentally superior and give you a substantially better life!

In the next step you will be shown how to eat correctly for the mind…believe me….it’s simple!!

B-vitamins to boost brain function

by Paul Cribb, B.H.Sci HMS

AST Director of Research

The latest research shows that elevated homocysteine concentrations contribute to cognitive decline as we age. Elevations in homocysteine levels are a result of inadequate B-vitamin intake, particularly folate, vitamin B12, and vitamin B6.

A new study, published in this month's issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has shown that that these B-group vitamins protect against a decline in mental aptitude, particularly a decline in verbal fluency. However, a high homocysteine concentration was associated with a decline in recall memory. The researchers from Tufts University and the Boston University School of Public Health concluded that both low B-group vitamins and high homocysteine concentrations predict cognitive decline regardless of age.

The B-group vitamins are metabolized extensively during exercise as they play important roles in energy production and/or initiation of cellular recovery. The problem is that the B-group vitamins are water soluble, they enter and exit the system quickly and cannot be stored by the body. A frequent supply of B-group vitamins is required not only for optimal health but also to prevent a decline in mental function that is associated with ageing. MultiPro 32X contains a potent dose of all the B-group vitamins. Taking one capsule of MultiPro 32X in the AM and PM each day would defiantly help keep B-group vitamin levels at an optimum. According to the latest research, this will help maintain peak mental health.
