Weight Loss
This might amaze you!
According to the World Health Report of 2003 – 300 million adults world
wide are overweight.
I’m going to tell you the following information.....which applies to both,
men and women.
Muscle has a great need for energy, more so than fat!
Statistics show that for every pound of muscle, the body will burn approximately 60 calories per day. So lets say for example:
Person 1 |
Person 2 |
|||
| Body Weight | 150lbs |
Body Weight | 150Ibs |
|
| Body Fat | 10% |
Body Fat | 20% |
|
| Body Fat | 15Ibs |
Body Fat | 30Ibs |
|
| Lean Body Mass | 135Ibs |
Lean Body Mass | 120Ibs |
|
So person 1 has 15Ibs more muscle, which means that they are burning an extra 900 calories per day, than person 2. So, even whilst sitting watching television they are burning more calories than person 2, they can even eat more food than person 2 and still not gain weight, or lose weight by eating the same or a bit less than person 2. You see how it works, now that’s what I call amazing!! So girls, and some of you boys, don’t be scared of weight training, get in there and do your thing, firm those muscles and burn that fat!

Here’s an extra fantastic tip
Do you want a great pair of legs to go with that great body, well those
great legs will actually increase your muscle tone throughout your whole
body, here’s how…..
Some people don’t enjoy training their legs in the gym…sound familiar….that
is so, the wrong attitude. The major muscles in the legs are the largest
muscles in the body, therefore take the most energy for a good workout.
A workout on your legs will actually stimulate the central nervous system,
which will activate muscle growth throughout the entire body. So, from now
on when you train, never miss out the leg workouts, that goes for the boys
and the girls.
That translates to more muscle…more calories burned
Also take a look at our workout routines section, nutrition and supplement
section, all of them combined create a fortress to fight off fat and hold
the muscle protecting your body and you!.
