What is Hypnosis & NLP?
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon best described as deep state of relaxation
and concentration. This state is neither sleep nor unconsciousness but an
altered state of awareness. The conscious and analytical part of the mind
is safely bypassed allowing access to the subconscious part of the mind
enabling you to let things happen and react imaginatively to suggestion.
The experience of the hypnotic trance is different for each person. The
individual is in control of themselves, but extraordinarily focused on their
internal experience, and on the voice of the hypnotist. The hypnotist cannot
make anyone do something that they are not willing to do. Remember that
trance is perfectly natural and we all enter this state naturally everyday,
when we day dream, watch TV, even driving a car.
What is Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)?
NLP - Neuro refers to the nervous system and our 5 senses by which we see,
hear, feel, taste, and smell. Linguistic refers to language and how certain
words and phrases represent our mental worlds. Programming refers to how
our thoughts, feelings, and actions are purely established programs of habit
that can be changed or upgraded. Another explanation of NLP:
NLP is a technique which enables you to use the language of your mind to achieve your desired results.
And another:
Neuro
The nervous system where all our experience is received and processed through our five senses.
Linguistic Language and non-verbal communication systems through which neural representations are coded, ordered, and given meaning.
Programming The ability to organise our communication and neurological systems to achieve specific desired goals and results.
